The team uses Maggie’s drop cloth to cover the buffalo and the crate. They cause a distraction while the buffalo is blocked by another crate. There are a number of decoys, one to fool the FBI, one to fool Delchev’s lookout, one to fool Delchev.
Maggie suggested storing Valerie at Mount Vernon to get the entry code. The money was hidden in the walls of Delchev’s office the whole time. Marius arrives at Mount Vernon to confront Maggie, who is being held by Delchev. Frank kills Delchev and Kwahu kills Frank. The FBI shows up and arrests Marius and Gina, confiscating the money. The FBI (really Adam and Nicole) was part of the con the whole time. Marius gets some of the money, but Maggie pulled a switch of her own. She dissolves the money in Delchev’s acid bath.
Sam and Otto save Wendy from Hannah, but Sam gets shot. Colin and Ayawamat find Julia and Valerie back at the storage unit. Otto turns Colin and Ayawamat against each other by revealing Ayawamat killed Colin’s dad; they kill each other.
Joyce knows Audrey killed Winslow and that Taylor covered it up. But the murder weapon has been linked to a known hitman and she decides to go with the evidence Taylor planted.
Audrey finds Pete at the farmhouse and holds him at gunpoint to get the whole story — except the fact that he’s really Pete. Julia goes to see Marius’s parole officer to find out who Marius really is.
Review:
The con on Sneaky Pete season 2 was executed pretty neatly, with a lot of fun fakes, decoys, distractions, switches, and double crosses. Nothing is as it seems, and the reveal is half the fun. While I never forgot the missing link of the “ripcord” Adam and Nicole, I didn’t think about it enough to make the link to the FBI agents and loved how delightfully that part of the con came together.
I really loved Marius and Maggie’s chemistry too. They never could quite get on the same page together, but worked well as a team when they could agree on a con. The brain tumor con on the antique dealer was especially compelling. Although the barely knew each other and didn’t trust each other, they interacted as if they’d known each other forever.
Ethan Embry’s Pete was a great regular addition to this season. He’s a terrible criminal — maybe due to the fact that Pete is naturally just a really good guy — but he really came through for the team in his own way.

When he accidentally seduces Suzanne by getting into a conversation about her work out program, he has this amazing reaction of complete astounded surprise. He simply cannot believe it’s happening. And when the laxative starts to work on Suzanne, he honestly hopes that she comes out okay.
If Sneaky Pete comes back for season three, Marius is definitely going to have some answers to give. He wants back in the family and is willing to try explaining himself, hoping for forgiveness. Julia, however, is bound to find out that Marius isn’t Pete — so where will that leave him?
