Legion season 2 releases promo and recap video to catch fans up to date

Legion season 2 is only a few weeks away and FX has released a recap video to catch people up on the puzzling first season.

To be honest, anyone who has never watched Legion will likely watch the recap video and have no idea what they just watched. As puzzling as the first season was, the new promo does nothing to clear anything up.

There was also a second short teaser for Legion season 2, although it didn’t show anything that the first few promo videos already showed (see the first trailer here, the first teaser here and the second trailer here).

Then, watch these two promos — another Legion season 2 teaser and the season 1 recap video — and realize that things are about to get even crazier in April.

The teaser has David Haller (Dan Stevens) saying that “everyone in here” keeps saying he is insane but what if they are all wrong? He then asks Syd (Rachel Keller) if she is real, and she responds that if they get lost, they get lost together. The Shadow King (Aubrey Plaza) then says no one can save him.

So, it is clear that the story is all about David and Syd, as well as David finally accepting his mutant powers (yeah — mutant, as in The X-Men — in Marvel Comics, David is Professor X’s son). Meanwhile, the Shadow King is becoming a man, although Aubrey Plaza is still in the show as well.

Now, onto the Legion recap video. Watch it without having any knowledge of the series and try to decipher what it is about. David is insane, people are messing with him, David believes it is all in his head — and people dance.

The best line has to be the start when David is told that Alice went down the rabbit hole and Dorothy went to Oz — or did they? What is real?

That is the real theme of Legion. And, as David says, “I’m the magic man.”
