Outlander: A season 4 family reunion awaits!

Season 4 of Outlander sees Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie (Sam Heughan) starting a new adventure in the new world!

After a tumultuous season 3, filled with turmoil on the high seas, Jamie running from the law for sedition and murder, and finally, a storm tearing their ship asunder, our adventurers wash up on the shores of America.

Sure to face hardships in an unfamiliar land, they’ll forge ahead as New England homesteaders. Don’t for one second think this new life will be a calm one for our Jamie and Claire.

According to an interview with Variety at an FYC panel, showrunner Ronald D. Moore stated,

"“There’s slavery, there’s American Indians, there’s a rebellion brewing up in New England that will become the American Revolution. And they land right smack dab in the middle of all this…”"

This coming season also has a family reunion in store, bringing together Brianna, played by Sophie Skelton, and Jamie for the first time face to face. It will be interesting to see how their father and daughter relationship plays out.

Will they be a happy family united against the world, or will Brianna’s feelings for the man who raised her collide with seeing her biological father in the flesh?

It has also been hinted that we will be seeing two of the shows big villains return this season, Laoghaire MacKenzie and Jack Randall, played by Nell Hudson & Tobias Menzies, along with a lot of new faces — including Jamie’s aunt Jocasta played by Maria Doyle Kennedy (The Tudors) and Ed Speleers as the pirate Stephen Bonnet.
