Game of Thrones and Major League Baseball teaming up for 2018 season
By Shawn Lealos
HBO sent out a press release today announcing that Game of Thrones and Major League Baseball are teaming up for the 2018 MLB season.
The eighth season of Game of Thrones will be the final for the HBO hit series, but it won’t arrive until 2019. The good news is that HBO and MLB are bringing GOT to fans this year at ballparks around the country.
This is not the first time that HBO and MLB have teamed up for Game of Thrones activities. Last summer, over 20 MLB parks teamed with the cable giant to bring activities and products to baseball fans across the nation.
This included Game of Thrones bobbleheads, special food and drinks, clothing and apparel, costume contests and even the appearance of the iconic Iron Throne at some stadiums. In a great moment, San Francisco Giants manager Bruce Bochy did his press conference after a game on the Iron Throne.
