Dante Allen comes back to Carrie

Dante is a former sexual habit of Carrie’s who happens to be in the FBI. Carrie is insisting he testify against President Keane but Dante is resilient in denying her. Dante begins playing a major role in both Carrie and Saul’s storylines.

Dante does prove useful in identify Chief of Staff Wellington’s secret lady friend as Simone Martin, who has her own secrets to use against Wellington. However, being an FBI agent, he goes along with the plans for surveillance a little too casually after Carrie spells out how illegal the operation is.

Dante keeps stirring the pot as he finds parking tickets and cash transactions that help Carrie further along and investigation with no end goal. Carrie lost the plot on using Dante to go after Keane and is now being fed information by Dante towards a new end game.

Dante has fallen into the worst possible situation. He is helping Carrie. He is sleeping with Carrie. And he is the suspicious subject that is now in Carrie’s crosshairs. That never ends well.

Dante, playing the game from all sides, gets swept up. His fate is still hanging in the balance. By now though, he must realize he lost the arms race.
