5. Troy: Fall of a City (April 6)
Troy: Fall of a City is a Netflix original series commissioned by BBC One. The storyline takes place during the Trojan War and the love affair between Paris and Helen. As would be expected from a series with this theme — there is a lot of swordplay and battles.
Louis Hunter (“The Fosters”) and Bella Dayne (“Humans”) are the two lead characters — the star-crossed lovers whose affair triggers the battles that threaten to bring Troy to the ground.
The first season, which already aired on BBC One, covers the story in Homer’s Illiad and there are rumors that a second season is coming that might cover Odyssey or maybe even the story of Greek war chief Agamemnon. However, that is getting ahead of us here in the U.S., where we still have yet to discover the first season.
