Meryl Streep starts her first day on the set of Big Little Lies!
For those who couldn’t believe it was happening, we now have official proof of Meryl Streep starting her first day on the set of Big Little Lies.
Nicole Kidman took to social media to share a first look at the highly-anticipated second season with Meryl Streep in tow.
Streep will play the role of Mary Louise Wright — Perry’s mother. After the dramatic events of the first season, her character will enter to help Celeste, played by Kidman.
The second season will usher back in familiar faces including Reese Witherspoon as the sassy Madeline, Laura Dern as Renata, Adam Scott as Ed, Shailene Woodley as Jane, and Zoe Kravitz as Bonnie.
Along with Streep, Douglas Smith will join the cast as well, playing a character named Corey Brockfield. While there has been no official premiere date as of yet, we can expect the second season to return in 2019 (*fingers crossed*)!
Based on Liane Moriarty’s novel of the same name, Big Little Lies spent the first season telling the dark tale of a murder mystery in the town of Monterey.
In a world of full riches, secrets, affairs, and abusive husbands, Big Little Lies sucked in viewers to the epicenter of its dramatic story.
