Netflix has announced that Idris Elba will star in a new comedy series called Turn Up Charlie.

Idris Elba will star in and produce the new Netflix comedy series about Charlie, a struggling DJ and bachelor who gets a job as a nanny for his famous best friend’s 11-year-old daughter.

Charlie’s view of children and family will likely be challenged in the episodes to come as he bonds with his charge.

CinemaBlend reports that the first season will feature eight half-hour episodes set in the UK. Production begins in May, so its possible it could be released by the end of 2018 or early 2019.

Elba is currently finishing up filming for season five of BBC’s crime thriller Luther –– which is the news that I am crazy excited about — so hopefully, we could see that released around the same time.

Elba, who rose to fame in the U.S. as Stringer Bell on The Wire, has a recurring role in Marvel’s Thor movies as Heimdall and will be appearing in the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War. When not appearing in blockbuster movies like The Dark Tower and Star Trek Beyond, Elba turns his attention to television and independent cinema.

He is currently appearing in the UK comedy series In the Long Run, which he also created, and recently premiered the feature film Yardie, which he directed. As far as Turn Up Charlie goes, Elba has proven that he works well with children and has plenty of real-life experience working as DJ “Big Driis” between acting gigs.

Needless to day, Elba keeps pretty busy and is in high demand. He’s the kind of actor whose name is floated as dream casting for nearly any high profile role — from Doctor Who to James Bond (a popular rumor which Elba finds annoying).

Barring Bond, we at least have plenty of Idris to look forward to this year.
