Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. – “All Roads Lead…”

This season of Agents of S.H.I..E.L.D. has led the show to get increasingly dark. It’s not a bad thing at all, but it’s still shocking to watch some of these scenes play out.

“All Roads Lead…” sees Ruby try to accept her fate as the Destroyer of Worlds, only to meet her ultimate demise. With Infinity War coming out next week, it will be interesting to see how everything will tie together.

Ruby finally merges with the gravitonium this week but isn’t strong enough to absorb more than eight percent. It doesn’t matter though, because it gives her a massive power boost. Naturally, it’s a ticking clock to see what exactly Ruby is going to do but nothing is more heartbreaking than Hale begging her daughter to gain control.

S.H.I.E.L.D. has always done a great job of crafting complex villains and it’s hard not to hope the Hale family manages to come out of this as better people. Unfortunately, YoYo decides to change the future by murdering the young girl before she even has the opportunity to destroy the Earth.

It’s a disturbing scene and makes one question whether YoYo was motivated by revenge or a true desire to change things. Nevertheless, it looks like the agents are going to be on the receiving end of Hale’s wrath.

The finales for all of the superhero shows are inching closer and the stakes are even higher. Can all of them stick the landing? Marvel seems confident in their flagship television show based on the renewal rumors despite low ratings. However, DC Comics will need to make some changes next season but luckily almost all of their adaptations have been renewed.
