Actress Francesca Reale added to Stranger Things cast

As fans of Stranger Things eagerly wait for the show’s third season, a new bit of casting news comes from a familiar source.

According to That Hashtag Show, little known 23-year-old actress Francesca Reale has been added to the cast.

That Hashtag Show also broke the news back in February of several new character descriptions for season 3.  Two of these new roles included that of Mayor Kline and reporter Bruce.  Those roles would later end up being filled by screen veterans Cary Elwes and Jake Busey.

More from Netflix

There currently isn’t anything known about Reale’s role, including her name, though there is one decent guess to be made about it.  Given the actress’ age, it’s safe to assume her role will revolve around one of the teen’s plot lines. While this could be as inconsequential as a classmate to the high school aged kids, or someone to shake things up.

Admittedly, that could mean many possibilities.  She could end up as a love interest for Steve, serve as a wrench between Nancy and Jonathan’s relationship or possibly even be a henchman for Billy.  Although it would be nice to see Steve move on from Nancy and veer away from a love triangle. The Duffer Brothers could also inexplicably make her character adult aged and have her arc be something else entirely.

At the moment, Francesca Reale is currently best known for her series regular role as Emily on the Netflix show Haters Back Off.  Netflix wound up canceling the show back in December after two seasons so there’s no need to worry about scheduling conflicts there.
