Odds and Ends

Up next is Christian Kirksey who has an appointment as a drummer. He said that he went to church and always watched the drummer at the church. He then learned how to play in church every Sunday, where he got his start. Kirksey said that he lives his life through music.

Kirksey is the starting weakside linebacker and one of the top paid linebackers in the NFL. Footage of him drumming is then juxtaposed with him practicing on the field.

In a team meeting, Kirksey asks everyone to take out a sheet of paper and write down why they play football. Is it for money, to get their family to a better place or because of the love of the game. He wants everyone to tape this piece of paper where they sleep so they can see it when they wake up every morning and before bed every night.

Myles Garrett is then shown talking to retired linebacker Willie McGinest about playoff expectations. Garrett, last year’s first-round draft pick, said it is all about one game at a time. Garrett, the starting right defensive end, said he is confident and then acknowledges that he is working with Hall of Famer Bruce Smith on his rush moves. McGinest tells him that he has everything but needs to just keep adding moves and techniques.
