Amazon releases trailer for The Man in the High Castle season 3
Amazon has released its season three trailer for The Man in the High Castle.
Amazon’s epic alternate history thriller The Man in the High Castle is entering its third season and has released an appropriately epic trailer to promote the occasion. The series, which is based on Philip K. Dick’s novel of the same name, is set in an alternate history where the Nazi’s won World War II and the United States is a territory split between Nazi Germany in the east, Japan in the west, and the chaotic neutral zone in the middle.
Then a woman discovers a film depicting a world in which the allies won, a world not governed by tyranny and fear. This film – supposedly made by the mysterious Man in the High Castle, is considered dangerously subversive by the current government, who will do anything to recover it before word, and hope, spread among the people. But its more complicated than that, because alternate universes are a thing.
The Man in the High Castle was developed for television by Frank Spotnitz (The X-files) but Eric Overmyer has taken over as showrunner for season three. While previous seasons have been based on the novel, the third season will be based on material from Philip K. Dick’s unfinished sequel. The series stars Alexa Davalos, Luke Kleintank, DJ Qualls, Joel De La Fuente, Brennan Brown, Bella Heathcote, Chelah Horsdal, Jason O’Mara, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, and Rufus Sewell. Season three is set for release on Amazon on October 5.
