According to Deadline, the Arrowverse’s Neal McDonough has been cast in a morally gray role in the Paramount Network Western drama Yellowstone.

Yellowstone recently wrapped a very successful first season run and was quickly renewed for season 2. McDonough recently wrapped his role on the Arrowverse, making the time right for him to take on a new character.

During Yellowstone‘s second season, McDonough will recur as Malcolm Beck, a wealthy businessman who, along with his brother, Teal, runs a casino near the show’s titular ranch.

The brothers know how to work the system to get their way, but aren’t above fighting dirty. This sounds similar to many of the characters on the series, which focuses on the Duttons, a family who run the largest ranch in the United States.

Yellowstone is anchored by Kevin Costner as John Dutton — a character who might be given a run for his money next season by McDonough’s character. Of course, given Dutton’s adversaries, Thomas Rainwater and Dan Jenkins, ended season 1 conspiring to build a casino of their own, it’s possible those characters will also come into conflict with McDonough’s character.

McDonough has spent the last several years crisscrossing the Arrowverse as the villain Damien Darhk. He was originally seen on Arrow, appeared once on The Flash, and finally spent the last couple years on Legends of Tomorrow.
