Netflix orders comedy series, ‘No Good Nick’, starring Melissa Joan Hart and Sean Astin

Melissa Joan Hart and Sean Astin are heading to Netflix for their new multi-cam comedy series, No Good Nick.

No Good Nick has been picked up by Netflix with a 20-episode order and is joining the ranks of Netflix’s Fuller House which kickstarted the streaming service’s entrance into TGIF-esque comedy. The series will star Melissa Joan Hart (Sabrina The Teenage Witch) and Sean Astin (Stranger Things) as they play a married couple that are the complete opposite of one another.

Astin will play the chill, dorky dad named Ed, while Hart will play the overly competitive career mom named Liz, according to DeadlineThe couple ends up welcoming a 13-year old girl named Nicole into their family only to learn that she has ulterior motives.

Production on the series has begun and while the series will be a comedy, there will be a bit of drama infused through the character of Nicole. No Good Nick will be Netflix’s second multi-cam series following Ashton Kutcher’s The Ranch.
