Love is a romantic comedy Netflix original that premiered in February 2016. The show has been a success and has spawned three seasons, with the most recent airing in March 2018.
Created by Judd Apatow, this Netflix series is described as a “down to Earth look at dating” and takes on both the male and female sides of the relationships. The stars are Gillian Jacobs as Mickey and Paul Rust as Gus.
The pilot episode starts off with Gus breaking up with his girlfriend after she cheats on him and blames him for it. Mickey is dating a drug addict.
The two of them are going through hard times and then meet at a store where they choose to have coffee and start a friendship that leads to uncomfortable and awkward places through the three seasons.
One of the hardest parts of watching the episodes is that the characters are very realistic — which is often hard to sympathize with on fictional television shows but if you can relate to these characters, there is a lot here to love.
The Netflix series ended after three seasons and the final episode had possibly the perfect conclusion considering what Gus and Mickey went through to reach that point. For many television shows that end before their time, Netflix allowed Love to finish with a perfect finale.
