Game of Thrones: Does Ser Jorah Mormont survive?

Express.co.uk interviewed Iain Glen about his feelings on the ending of Game of Thrones.

If you’re anything like me, you can’t wait for Game of Thrones to come back so you can finally see how it all ends.

Of all the people who actually care about who survives the war with the White Walkers, there’s only a small population of people who actually know how it ends and who survives. This includes the showrunners, writers, production folks, and the actors themselves.

Express.co.uk recently interviewed Iain Glen, who has appeared as Ser Jorah Mormont since Season 1, and we may have a massive hint as to his character’s fate at the end of the series.

First, he calls the final six scripts “really special.” He also says that the group of them that have finally joined together during Season 7 will be together for Season 8 as well. He also teased,

"“I am one of the lucky ones who made it through!”"

Hold up! Did Glen just spoil his character’s fate? Does Ser Jorah actually survive?

Now, he could be referring to the fact that his character has survived through to the last season after many near-death experiences, like grey scale.

But maybe he actually survives the war as well, which goes against what my prediction was when I gave you my list of ten characters most likely to die on Game of Thrones next season.

I know that everyone is chomping at the bit for this final season, but Glen also reminds us that the quality of these last six episodes will be well worth the wait. He said,

"“They took longer to film, cost more, and are more surprising.”"

I believe the ending will be surprising for most fans. We can theorize all we want – and we have since this has been such a long break. But only a select few know the true ending, and I hope most fans, including myself, are satisfied with the end.
