Big Little Lies’ Darby Camp and Rise’ Rarmian Newton are set to be in AMC’s next horror series, NOSA42.
NOSA42 is a supernatural fantasy horror drama and AMC has just cast Darby Camp and Rarmian Newton in recurring roles. The series will be based on a novel by the same name by author Joe Hill. Many of you will remember Camp as the adorable, feisty little girl in the first season of Big Little Lies and it will be exciting to see her take on the genre of horror and fantasy.
According to a report by Deadline, NOSA42 will be produced by AMC Studios and is created by Fear The Walking Dead’s Jami O’Brien, who will also be taking on the role of showrunner. The series is set to debut in 2019 on AMC.
NOSA42 is set in New England and follows Vic McQueen (Ashleigh Cummings) who has the ability to find things that are lost. This ability leads her to Charlie Manx (Zach Quinto) who is a supernatural villain that abducts children.
Newton is going to play a character named Drew who is a friend of Vic’s from prep school. With the encouragement of Vic, Drew decides to pursue art school against the wishes of his parents. Camp is set to play Haley Smith, a seemingly tough kid who is funny and has a sense of adventure about her. Her overconfident nature may get the best of her but she too aspires to be an artist.
After from playing Reese Witherspoon’s daughter on HBO’s Big Little Lies, Camp will next be seen in Netflix’s Christmas movie The Christmas Chronicles starring Kurt Russell. Newton was a lead in NBC’s Rise last season and will next be seen in CBS All Access’ Tell Me A Story.
