Jeryl Prescott joins Swamp Thing live-action series

As the new DC Universe streaming enjoys the early success of Titans, their upcoming live-action Swamp Thing series has now added Jeryl Prescott to the cast.
According to Deadline, in the DC Comics TV series, Prescott will play Madame Xanadu, “a blind fortune teller with a mysterious past and supernatural perceptions that reveal the future.”
Prescott joins the cast alongside the previously cast Derek Mears (Friday the 13th remake) as the title character and Crystal Reed (Teen Wolf) as Abby Arcane.
Prescott is perhaps best known for her recurring role as Jacqui in the first season of The Walking Dead.
Prescott’s time on the show came to an end in The Walking Dead season 1 finale when Jacqui decided to stay behind with Dr. Jenner as the CDC self-destructed.
Madame Xanadu, also known as Merlin’s former lover Nimue, is best known in the DC Comics as a member of the Justice League Dark team alongside the Swamp Thing.
Now that both Swamp Thing and Madame Xanadu have been confirmed for the upcoming DC Comics TV series, this could hopefully open the door for a Justice League Dark series somewhere down the road.
It could end up as a less underwhelming version of The Defenders.
A Justice League Dark film with Guillermo del Toro attached to produce has been stuck in development hell over at Warner Brothers since 2012
Swamp Thing is expected to premiere on the new DC Universe streaming service sometime in 2019.
