The glamorous series about the gorgeous ladies of wrestling has two experienced, creative ladies at the helm.

GLOW is about to conquer another media: comic books.

The publisher IDW announced that they will be releasing a four-issue comic book series based on the Netflix series GLOW. It will be written by Tini Howard (Rick & Morty) with Hannah Templer (Jem and the Holograms) working on illustrations.

The new miniseries based on the hit comedy will debut in March. And in case you’re wondering if the comics will resemble the series at all, co-creators Liz Flahive and Carly Mensch will executive produce them.

Flahive and Mensch released a statement:

"“We’re thrilled to work with IDW to bring new stories to life on the page and in the ring. Can we smoosh 14 women into a little frame? Only time will tell… but we couldn’t be more excited!”"

If you’re looking for something to binge-watch, GLOW is a fantastic show.

It’s a show within a show based on GLOW: The Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling. It ran from the mid-to-late 1980s and starred female wrestlers in gimmicky personas and hokey costumes.

The scripted series stars Alison Brie and Betty Gilpin as frienemy wrestlers and Marc Maron as the show’s director.

Brie has been nominated for Golden Globes for the first two seasons. And the show’s first season and some cast members were nominated for Primetime Emmys. The cast has been recognized for a Screen Actors Guild Award as well.
