Killing Eve season 2 can’t come soon enough!

BBC America released a new teaser for the upcoming season thanking the fans for their dedication. Unfortunately, the video doesn’t contain any new footage for season two, however, it’s still a nice gesture for the viewers. It does confirm Killing Eve will be back in 2019, and earlier this week Variety revealed the official premiere date is April 7.

The teaser video thanks fans for not only watching but also for helping propel the series into the spotlight. As BBC America notes, Killing Eve was at the top of almost every “Best Shows of 2018” list. Not only did it gain popularity with every episode, but it’s also now hitting the award circuit with nominations for almost every event.

As for season two news, Variety also had some news about what viewers can expect. Eve Polastri (Sandra Oh) will still be hunting down the mysterious assassin, Villanelle (Jodie Comer), however, she might have some competition this time around. The publication teases more people might be after Villanelle this season. The new cast members, Nina Sosanya and Edward Bluemel, should be introduced pretty quickly because the premiere picks up about thirty seconds from where the finale left off.

Currently, Killing Eve is making waves on every red carpet. Sandra Oh will be co-hosting the Golden Globes this Sunday where she’s nominated for her role in the series. Also, the show is up for Best TV Drama this year where we hope it brings home the trophy.

After a critically acclaimed first season, fans have been eagerly awaiting more episodes. Thankfully, BBC America renewed the show last fall before Killing Eve even premiered. This decision might have helped speed the process up of getting season two prepped for shooting. It will debut its second season exactly one year after the season one premiere.
