Congrats to Sandra Oh for her historic Golden Globes win in recognition of her incredible performance as Eve Polastri on Killing Eve!

Sandra Oh had quite the night at the 76th Annual Golden Globe Awards! With her trademark charisma, energy, and perfect comedic timing, she killed it as a first-time Golden Globes host, alongside Andy Samberg. Even more notably, she made history when she won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Television Series, Drama, for her captivating performance as Eve Polastri in Killing Eve.

Oh won her first Golden Globe in 2006 for Best Supporting Actress in a Series, Miniseries or Television Film for her engaging performance as fan-favorite surgeon Cristina Yang on Grey’s Anatomy. With her win on Sunday, she became the first actress of Asian descent to win multiple Globes.

If you haven’t had a chance to watch Killing Eve yet, get binging immediately! As I’ve written about before, Oh brings so much to her role as MI-6 Agent Eve Polastri, who embarks on an obsessive search for a charismatic assassin with a flair for the dramatic known as Villanelle (Jodie Comer).

"Killing Eve is the first show since Grey‘s that has given Oh the opportunity to demonstrate her incredible range as an actress. Oh’s Eve Polastri is brilliant, funny in a dry way, knows her worth and isn’t afraid to take risks no matter to the cost to herself… Eve remains refreshingly relatable to viewers. For example, she barely knows how to use a gun, even though she tries to pretend like she does. She runs in terror from a serial killer like a normal person, the first time anyway.Alternatively, she also embodies a curiosity about serial killers that viewers undoubtedly share, even if don’t want to own it as readily as Eve does."

Speaking of Grey’s Anatomy, Ellen Pompeo, aka Meredith Grey, has officially proved that she’s still Oh’s person! The actress took to Twitter to congratulate her former co-star.

Pompeo wasn’t the only Grey’s star to show some love. Kevin McKidd, who plays Cristina’s ex-husband Owen Hunt, and Sarah Drew, who played April Kepner, also sent out congratulatory tweets.

Killing Eve returns to BBC America for season 2 on April 7 at 8 pm EST.
