Siempre Bruja – February 1
Siempre Bruja is a Spanish language Columbian fantasy-comedy-drama about a 17th-century witch who travels to the future to avoid being burned.
In addition to learning how to navigate the modern world in a series of humorous missteps, she also must find her way back to her time, learn to control her powers, save the man she loves, and avoid a powerful being named Lucien.
It’s like a reverse Outlander but looks wacky in the way that shows on The CW are a little wacky.
In fact, based on the trailer it looks like it would fit right in among the Arrowverse’s and the Riverdale’s of The CW, except in Spanish.

Bordertown: Season 2 – February 2
I have been waiting for season 2 of Bordertown forever! I absolutely loved everything about the first season and it perfectly fills the void for any fan of Scandinavian crime dramas.

It has international intrigue, a grisly murder mystery, a quirky and brilliant detective, family drama, and location-specific cultural disputes.
Bordertown concerns a Finnish city on the border of Russia and the complications involved in investigating a local murder with Russian ties.
Ville Virtanen is phenomenal as Detective Inspector Kari Sorjonen. He’s a bit of a tortured genius and definitely has a touch of something diagnosable, but his methods and his unusual physical mannerisms are like watching some kind of strange and beautiful ballet.
I can’t wait to see this Netflix original series.
