According to a report from Deadline today, Ginnifer Goodwin (Once Upon a Time) will star in an upcoming episode of The Twilight Zone. The episode will be called “Point of Origin” and James Frain and Zabryna Guevara will appear alongside Goodwin.

Character and episode details have not been announced yet, though there are many original series Twilight Zone episodes that “Point of Origin” could potentially be referencing. Rod Serling, in The Twilight Zone’s original run from 1959 to 1964, loved to craft episodes around aliens and traveling to different planets.

He also enjoyed pulling the rug out from under viewers by making the show seem like it’s about people visiting or traveling to an alien planet, but really it’s about them going to or discovering Earth. See: “Third from the Sun,” where people are escaping a doomed Earth-like planet. But surprise, they’re aliens and planet they’re escaping to is the third from the sun—Earth.

All that is to say, the title “Point of Origin” immediately made me think it could potentially have a similar kind of twist.

Peele has already announced that the episode that Adam Scott will star in will be a remake of a Twilight Zone classic, but it’s unknown how many episodes of the new series will be remakes and how many will be Jordan Peele original ideas.

This announcement comes less than a week after Peele “interrupted” the Super Bowl broadcast to drop The Twilight Zone’s first television spot. CBS All Access (CBS’s streaming service) will bring the science fiction classic back on April 1 with two brand new episodes.

Following the two premiere episodes, The Twilight Zone will have a new episode available weekly on Thursdays, starting April 11.

The series is produced by Peele’s company, Monkeypaw Productions, and CBS TV Studios along with Simon Kinberg’s Genre Films. Executive producers for the show are Peele, Kinberg, Win Rosenfeld, Andrey Chon, Glen Morgan, Carol Serling (Rod Serling’s daughter), Rick Berg and Greg Yaitanes.
