Why Women Kill casts Veep’s Reid Scott in CBS All Access dramedy

From comedy to dark comedy, Veep’s Reid Scott is set to star in CBS All Access’ Why Women Kill.
Why Women Kill will be a completely different ball game for Veep’s Reid Scott who has spent the last few years alongside Julia Louis-Dreyfus in the HBO comedy. But with the series coming to an end after the upcoming season, Scott now has the opportunity to expand his horizons–and he is! Scott will be starring in CBS All Access’ dark dramedy, Why Women Kill by the creator of Desperate Housewives.
The series will follow three women across three decades, which includes “a housewife in the ‘60s, a socialite in the ‘80s and a lawyer in 2018 — each dealing with infidelity in their marriages”, per Deadline. This angle of their lives is the central focus of the series and will examine how the roles have changed for each of these women as time passes, but the overwhelming, gut-crushing feeling of betrayal remains the same.
Scott will play a man named Eli in Why Women Kill and is a kind, funny man. He will be a part of the 2018 storyline and is in an open marriage with his wife Taylor, who is a lawyer. Their polygamous marriage seems to be working well for them, that is until his wife’s lesbian lover comes to spend the weekend with them. That ought to make the story quite interesting, don’t you think? Now, if only we knew what the other two stories in this series will be about.
Scott stars in HBO’s Veep and was recently seen in Venom and Sundance’s Late Night. Coming up, he will star in Screen Gem’s cop drama, Black and Blue, starring Tyrese Gibson, and of course, he will be in the final season of Veep which premieres on March 31st on HBO.
