The Sinner snags season 3 renewal with Matt Bomer as lead

The Sinner will be back for another season–with Matt Bomer as the lead.
The Sinner has gained critical acclaim since it first premiered on USA, and it seems like the network along with the fans are itching for more! Along with the new season, there will be a new face to take the lead. Returning to a network that is very much familiar to him, Matt Bomer will be the new face to take on the mystery and allure that The Sinner is known to offer, according to THR. He will star opposite Bill Pullman, who is returning to the series after starring in the first two.
The third season will have Pullman’s Detective Ambrose looking into a car crash that will lead him right into a crime that will rattle up his world more than a case ever has. Meanwhile, Bomer will be playing the role of a man named Jamie who will grow close to Ambrose in the days following the accident. Honestly, I’m just thrilled that the world is getting to see more of Matt Bomer on a frequent basis. Have you all seen his work on Doom Patrol?!
Jessica Biel will continue to be the executive producer on the series with no news regarding if she’ll make an appearance in the next season. She was the lead in season one and then handed over the lead role to Carrie Coon for season two. It’s not likely we’ll see Biel on-screen, but we can certainly hold out hope for a cameo.
No premiere date has been set for The Sinner as of yet, but USA Network has plenty premiering in the coming months/year including the final seasons of Mr. Robot and Suits as well as the new season of The Good Fight. USA has really stepped up their game, haven’t they? We’ll give all the credit to White Collar, a series Matt Bomer starred in for a number of years.
