Ryan Murphy’s first Netflix series, The Politician, finally has a premiere date–oh, and Gwyneth Paltrow is in it.

The Politician has been the talk of the town ever since Ryan Murphy officially joined Netflix. In fact, it will be his first series for the streaming service, and I can only imagine how amazing it’s going to be. Come on, it’s Ryan Murphy, he can make a show about anything and people would watch it. Murphy took to social media on Friday to announce that the upcoming series now has an official premiere date–Sept. 27th (mark your calendars!).

Perhaps even cooler than the fact that this is Murphy’s first Netflix series is the cast list for The Politician. Of course, there’s always someone from his O.G. favorite crew, and this time around he’s going with Jessica Lange (don’t worry, he’s got another series coming up with Sarah Paulson). Along with Lange, the series will also star Ben Platt and Gwyneth Paltrow.

Platt’s character is the central focus of the show and will follow his character, Payton Hobart, who has aspired from childhood to be the President of the United States. However, before he can achieve this monumental goal, he’s got to take baby steps, starting with becoming President of his high school. The fact that Platt will be playing a high school student couldn’t be more perfect–I’m so here for it.

The path to becoming President will be a treacherous one as Payton will work hard to keep his eye on the prize without sacrificing his moral compass. Will he succeed? Will he succumb to the agony of peer pressure? Will he stoop low just to achieve his giant dreams? I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait to find out.

The Politician will be a one-hour comedy and of course, rely heavily on social commentary to convey its story. Along with Lange, Platt, and Paltrow, the cast includes Zoey Deutch, Lucy Boynton, Bob Balaban, David Corenswet, Julia Schlaepfer, Laura Dreyfuss, Theo Germaine, Rahne Jones, and Benjamin Barrett, according to Deadline.
