Chilling Adventures of Sabrina: Part 2 – April 5

A Netflix original adaptation of the classic Archie character from the creator of the CW’s Riverdale, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is definitely nothing like the campy cuteness of Melissa Joan Hart’s Sabrina the Teenage Witch.

More from Netflix

While it’s not an official spinoff of Riverdale, it shares more in common with the dark and moody CW series than just creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa.

This Sabrina is chilling indeed, invoking dark magic, scary monsters, and sexy hookups. In the first trailer for season two, Sabrina is seen preparing to burn her school to the ground, grinding at sexy leather parties, snapping some necks, bathing in blood, and being trapped between her attraction for two hot guys.

Plus, her powers are far stronger than anyone at her age or position should be, so there is the mystery of who gave them to her and whether their intentions are benevolent or not.

Our Planet – April 5

I love nature specials, especially those produced by the BBC and famed naturalist David Attenborough.

Not only is the footage simply awesome and the animal behaviors sometimes bizarre and always extraordinary, but it reminds us of our responsibility to the world we live in and how humans as a whole continue to ignore that responsibility.

While the glimpse of the many mysterious and incredible lives of animals brings great joy, astonishment, and curiosity, these specials are often equal parts sobering and frightening. Based on the trailer for Our Planet, this new special is set to take a serious look at the consequences of human exploitation on our environment.

I’m especially excited about this new Netflix original special because this is exactly the kind of thing I spend weekends watching with my best friend.

Just give us a bottle of wine and a nature documentary and we’re happy as can be.
