SDCC 2019: Amazon immerses fans in interactive activations for The Boys and more

Amazon Prime Video Experience transports fans into the world of The Boys, Carnival Row and The Expanse in an activation area which immerses fans in one-of-a-kind experience!

For years, Amazon Prime Video has taken San Diego Comic-Con by storm through the creation of unique, one-of-a-kind experiences which aim to immense fans in the worlds of their favorite Amazon titles. This year, is no different as Amazon has raised the bar even further with an activation experience housed within the Amazon Prime Video’s 60,000 square-foot activation area.

This year, the Amazon Prime Video Experience brings together a powerful trio of titles led by buzzy new dramas The Boys and Carnival Row as well as fan-favorite series The Expanse.

Upon entering the activation space, Comic-Con guests are thrust into a whirlwind adventure complete with an unforgettable cover-up, a trip through space and a pit stop at The Forbidden Lounge to enjoy a special performance they won’t soon forget!

F**K SUPES: The Ultimate Cover-Up

The fun officially begins as fans find themselves at the heart of a crime scene, where they receive a first-hand look at the destruction left behind by the reckless actions of Supes.

Coming together in small groups of roughly 15 attendees, visitors are quickly recruited by two Supe hating cohorts. Soon, attendees are racing against the clock to help uncover critical evidence so that it can be destroyed before the cops – or worse, Supes – arrive! It’s an intense activation which tests Con goers ability to act under pressure as they frantically search the crime scene to find the key pieces of evidence.

Like with the Amazon Prime Video series which inspires the activation, Amazon’s The Boys activation is not for the faint of heart. Prepare for an unforgettable experience spent rummaging through the remains of the electronics store at the heart of the crime scene; frantically look for clues; and rally to protect their fellow cohorts from an unexpected event which is sure to leave fans speechless.

Welcome to The Forbidden Lounge: Prepare to be Entertained

After covering up a crime, it’s time to venture to the world of Carnival Row, a universe where exotic creatures walk amongst humans in a backstreets of a marketplace. It is here, where they’ll be able to mingle with market vendors, pucks and faeries!

As you prepare to enter, choose wisely in selecting your destiny as a Creature or Human; a decision which will ultimately shape your experience – and the treatment received when moving through the marketplace.

However, nothing compares to the experience awaiting fans upon entering The Forbidden Lounge! This neo-Victorian hideaway houses several incredible creatures, who use their gifts to wow the crowds with a series of performances you have to see to believe!

Welcome to Illus: Prepare to Test your Skills

Rounding out Amazon’s trio of activation is the immersive activation for The Expanse!

In need of assistance with a new UN peacekeeping mission, attendees are recruited to travel to the planet Illus where they’ll put their skills to the test. From exploring new terra, uprising new discoveries and attempts to ease the growing tensions between private corporations and struggling refugees.

Aiming to utilize the team’s newest recruits, attendees are broken into unique groups with each group given the chance to shine through their own personalized interactions. Prepare to test your skills and explore a bold new world in walking on and witnessing the beauty of \ for the first time ever.
