Veronica Mars character refresher: Who’s returning to Neptune for the revival?

The Hearst College Rapist will be back as yet another one of Veronica’s endless list of enemies. Mercer had a long list of victims and was ready to make another if it wasn’t for Veronica and Parker. He was wealthy and friends with Logan, who vehemently defended Mercer despite the accusations. However, Parker recognized his cologne and that was all Veronica needed to get hot on his trail.

He wound up in jail alongside his accomplice Moe with a very angry Logan paying him a visit. Since he’s back this time around, we wouldn’t be surprised to learn Mercer has served his time and now wants vengeance on a certain blonde detective who foiled his plans.

Stosh “Piz” Piznarski

There’s no word if Chris Lowell will be returning for another round of Veronica Mars but it seems unlikely. Piz’s relationship with Veronica is essentially finished, especially after he dumped her via phone when she skipped out on meeting his parents. He seems to have a successful radio show in New York City so why would he ever bother going to Neptune?

Considering Wallace and Mac both were Team Piz, there’s always a chance we seem him again. He did go to college with them and the four of them were close friends.
