The Morning Show: Teaser trailer drops for Apple TV+ show starring Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, and Steve Carell

A new teaser trailer has been released for The Morning Show, revealing a first look at the drama starring Emmy Award-winner Jennifer Aniston, Academy Award-winner Reese Witherspoon, and Golden Globe-winner Steve Carell.

The Morning Show is coming this fall to AppleTV+, Apple’s new streaming service. It focuses on what happens behind the scenes at a daily morning show and the unique challenges faced by the people who make the shows that help America wake up.

None of the actors are seen in the teaser outside of a poster showing Aniston and Carell as their characters, the faces of the morning show within The Morning Show. Instead, the characters are heard in voice overexpressing their various opinions about their role in delivering the morning news. Meanwhile, onscreen the camera slowly moves through the studio where the morning show is produced, providing a glimpse at the show’s dressing rooms, the control room, and the desk where the anchors sit.

In addition, to Aniston, Witherspoon, and Carell, the impressive cast includes Nestor Carbonell (Lost), Billy Crudup (Almost Famous, Where’d You Go Bernadette?), Mark Duplass (The Mindy Project, Goliath), and Gugu Mbatha-Raw (A Wrinkle in Time, Fast Color).

The show will be written by Kerry Ehrin (Bates Motel, Parenthood) and directed by Mimi Leder (On the Basis of Sex). It’s based on an original idea by Michael Ellenberg (The Leftovers).

Apple has yet to set a premiere date for the highly-anticipated series but it is expected to debut sometime in the fall.
