Eric’s days may be numbered on Santa Clarita Diet as he becomes the main suspect for the fracking incident.

Santa Clarita Diet has convinced me to enjoy the dynamic between Eric and Abby, a duo I didn’t care much for before. But this final season has really brought me around to the idea of them especially with this whole fracking incident. Unfortunately, after Abby’s interview with the FBI, it looks like their main suspect is now Eric. Uh oh.

Meanwhile, Sheila learns that a woman named Trish has been arrested for the murder of her ex-husband, who was actually killed by Sheila. Naturally, Sheila feels devastated over the idea that someone else is getting in trouble for something she caused so she suggests using Bob’s body to somehow unframe Trish.

Sheila and Joel decide to make it look like a surfing accident, but before they can do anything with the body, they make a pit stop at the skate park to talk to Ron. He’s happily leaving his undead life and promises he’s only killing bad people and turning people who need their life to change in some manner. While Joel is taken aback by the idea of turning people, he has no idea that Sheila has already turned Jean.

While talking to Ron, neither Sheila or Joel realize that Bob’s vodka-soaked corpse is beginning to bloat in the back of their car due to the excessive heat outside. And as expected, the body explodes within the bag, rendering it useless. But wait, Santa Clarita Diet fans, there may be a way to solve everyone’s problems.

With Eric as the prime suspect for the FBI, the Hammonds decide to take whatever liquid is left of Bob’s body and contaminate it with C4 residue that Eric was able to find. This would exonerate Trish and release Eric from any blame for the accident. Will it work? Looks like we’ll have to wait and see.

All the while, the two gentlemen from the Serbian consulate show up at the Caldwells’ home and kidnap their son. Informing Christa they have her son, she points them in the direction of Joel, which is definitely going to spell trouble for the Hammonds’ and Eric’s grand plan.
