Silicon Valley: The first official trailer for the sixth and final season

It’s time to say goodbye to Silicon Valley (Noooo!).

Silicon Valley, amongst many other shows, is airing its final season in the upcoming year, and HBO is finally giving us the first official look. Deadline has reported that the sixth and final season will have seven episodes total to wrap up the story, which promises to be their best season yet.

The teaser below is absolutely hilarious, and I dare say I laughed more than I ever have before while watching Silicon Valley. Much like we’ve seen in real life with Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg sitting in front of Congress, it looks like this season will be placing Pied Piper’s Richard Hendricks (Thomas Middleditch) in the very same position—awkward silences/facial expressions and all.

The issue of data privacy has been front and center in the news and it looks like Silicon Valley will hope to tackle it in their final season, with some twisted humor, of course. There is one person still missing from the final season teaser below, and that person would be T.J. Miller’s Erlich Bachman.

And it doesn’t seem likely that Miller will be a part of the final season in any capacity, unfortunately. After the fourth season, Miller left the series under much controversy and according to HBO’s President of Programming, Casey Bloys, there is very little possibility that he will come back for one final reunion. It would have been a great surprise, but alas, we probably shouldn’t get our hopes up.

Along with Middleditch, Silicon Valley stars Zach Woods, Kumail Nanjiani, Martin Starr, Amanda Crew, Jimmy O. Yang, Suzanne Cryer, Matt Ross and Josh Brener (as listed by Deadline). This group of hilarious folks will go down as one of the best comedy cast we’ve seen in a long time, and it’s an understatement to say they, along with the series, will be missed immensely.

The final season of Silicon Valley will air on HBO on Sunday, Oct. 27th.
