This is not a drill, Darren Criss is all set to executive produce and star in Ryan Murphy’s Hollywood.

Hollywood is no longer just the land of stardom and fame. Moving forward, it will now be known as the name of Ryan Murphy’s next Netflix series. And that’s not all, folks. Murphy is bringing back one of his favorites for the project–the one and only Darren Criss.

According to a report by Deadline, Ryan Murphy has stated that Hollywood will be a “love letter to the Golden Age of Tinseltown”. And that’s about all we know. What I do know is that this time period is one of the most intriguing, groundbreaking times in the history of Hollywood.

For those that don’t know what years fall under this Golden Age, let me enlighten you. From around the late 1920s all the way up to the 1960s. Does that mean we’ll get to see the likes of Marlon Brando, Audrey Hepburn, Elizabeth Taylor, and others be portrayed during the series? I SURE HOPE SO. Although, Criss mentioned in his Instagram post that their focus will be on the 1940s.

Either way, I’m super excited.

This is Murphy’s third Netflix project following The Politician and Ratched, and one of many projects overall that Criss has joined him for. There’s something about the two of them working together that just works. They create literal magic and if you’re looking for proof just look to The Assassination of Gianni Versace.

Criss swept award season last year for portraying the role of Andrew Cunanan, so I’m thinking we can expect this level of success for Hollywood. We may not know many details as of now, but rest assured, when we learn something, so will you.

Until then, we’ll count down the days to May 2020 when Hollywood will officially premiere on Netflix.
