Best: Everyone loves Fleabag
Emmy loves the new kid on the block, and this year it was all about Fleabag. It took home six Emmys including Outstanding Comedy Series, Directing, Writing, Editing, Casting, and Lead Actress for Phoebe Waller-Bridge. She looks completely delighted and shocked she won. But her best line in one of her three acceptance speeches “I find acting really, hard and really painful” was honest and endearing. Now, I need to watch this show!

Worst: Have a nice trip?
Fleabag director Harry Bradbeer committed one of the worst awards show faux-pas when he tripped up the steps to collect his Emmy. He didn’t even have a gown on! It happens right around 1:08.

Best: Girl power!
Michelle Williams delivered the most eloquently beautiful acceptance speech after her Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited Series. She thanked her bosses for giving her what she needed to perform and do her job to the best of her ability and paying her equally. Did you hear that? They. Paid. Her. Equally. And normally I’m against soap-boxy speeches, but I didn’t feel like I was being preached at. I felt like she was a friend telling me how things are and how they should be.

After her Supporting Actress win, Alex Borstein also had one of the most touching moments of the night when she talks to us about her grandmother who “stepped out of line” to survive the Holocaust, then encouraging women to keep stepping out of line.
