Best: An honest moment
When Outstanding Supporting Actor winner Ben Whishaw gave his acceptance speech, he seemed a bit off. Then he admitted “I’m hungover” to which the crowd laughed and cheered. We’ve all been there, buddy.

Worst: There are a time and a place!
Saturday Night Live won the Emmy for Outstanding Variety or Music Program, and most of the cast and crew joined Lorne Michaels up on stage to accept it. As he talked about the episode they submitted, when Adam Sandler hosted and paid tribute to Chris Farley, it was touching. But I, unfortunately, became distracted by Keenan Thompson taking pictures of the audience with his phone, not paying attention to his boss’ speech. What up with that?

Best: Game of Thrones and Peter Dinklage win… again!
Game of Thrones’ final season was controversial, to say the least. But they rightfully garnered a ton of nominations this year, including more acting nods than ever before. While the actors are mostly mum about their true feelings of the ending, Dinklage praised showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss, saying, “I’d walk through fire and ice for you.” It gave me the feels. The show also took home the night’s most coveted prize, Outstanding Drama series. Love the ending or hate it; it was the best Drama of the century.
