Worst: GOT gets “almost” shut out
Game of Thrones has a huge cast, and it was only fitting that more actors got some recognition. Kit Harrington and Emilia Clarke were up for Lead Actor and Actress, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau for Supporting Actor, and Maisie Williams, Sophie Turner, Lena Headey, and Gwendoline Christie for Supporting Actress. All of them were shut out except for Dinklage. I guess it’s just an honor being nominated.

Killing Eve, Jodie Comer

Best: I love surprises!
Maybe the four Game of Thrones actresses split the vote for the Outstanding Supporting Actress category because Ozark’s Julia Garner snuck in to come away with the Emmy. She was completely stunned. And her off-the-cuff speech was sweet and heartfelt. Jodie Comer winning Lead Actress in a Drama for Killing Eve was also a big surprise!

Best: A priceless reaction
Though he was nominated for Lead Actor, Jason Bateman ended up winning his first Emmy for Directing Ozark. True-to-form, his reaction is priceless. A mix of horror and shock, I think he was genuinely flabbergasted. Of course, it has gone viral.

Worst: A complete shut-out
Veep’s final season was completely shut out by the Emmy’s this year, making Julia Louis-Dreyfus’ streak is officially broken.

Best: History is made
Billy Porter took home the Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama for Pose, making him the first openly gay man to ever win in that category. “I have the right; you have the right; we all have the right to be here,” he exclaimed. You couldn’t help but smile because he exuded that much joy.
