For All Mankind has been renewed for a second season

For All Mankind has been picked up for another season ahead of season 1 premiere!

For All Mankind is picking up some exciting chatter ahead of its first season premiere. Better yet, according to Deadline, the series has already been picked up by Apple+ for another season proving whatever Ron D. Moore blesses his talent with, turns to gold.

This renewal comes on the heels of the show’s premiere event which brought the entire cast and crew together. For those of you who aren’t sure what For All Mankind is about, let me be the first to tell you!

This series tells the story of an alternate history in which the Soviet Union landed on the moon first, and how that would have altered the course of history for the United States. When we think of alternate/dystopian history, it always gives us a bad taste in our mouths. It’s usually always so bleak and grim, right?

Well, in the case of For All Mankind, this isn’t exactly the case. At New York Comic-Con, Moore spoke a lot about how the series is meant to show how the U.S. grew from this experience. Instead of it becoming a point of defeat, they used it as inspiration to accomplish the next great thing–like female astronauts.

It seems like Apple is pretty confident that the series will do well enough to elicit another season. It’s also in large part of keeping things flowing so seasons come out in a proper sequential manner, which isn’t always the case for streaming shows.

We haven’t heard any official news regarding the other Apple+ shows (besides The Morning Show), but it won’t come as a surprise when they are renewed as well. After all, have you seen some of the content that they are releasing?! It’s going to be oh so amazing!
