It seems as if The Mandalorian gets better and better with every trailer released.

When it was first announced, I didn’t hold too much promise for The Mandalorian, the original Star Wars series for the upcoming Disney Plus streaming service.

Then I checked out the first trailer. Pretty good.

Disney then dropped the second trailer. Now, I’m all the way hooked.

For Star Wars nerds out there like myself, watching the trailers for The Mandalorian is what keeps us awake at night, eagerly filled with anticipation of what is seriously looking like the breakout hit for the niche Disney Plus.

The trailer certainly has the look and feel of the Star Wars universe, and we’re introduced to the Mandalorian, a lonesome bounty hunter who comes in and opens up a serious can of kick-butt. The series takes place five years after The Force took down the Empire, and 25 years before the First Order emerges, so this series acts as a bridge between the two Star Wars sagas, which may — and I’m being totally speculative here —  be a better way to tie the two sagas together than a film.

The Mandalorian itself looks to be a cool character that will keep us invested within the storyline. Sure, he’s got all of the gun-shooting, one guy versus 25 baddies mentality of an 80s action movie hero, but there’s something more about the Mandalorian that melts that image, to a degree, and this is what makes the series such an intriguing entry into the Star Wars universe.

Which is just fine with Disney, as it looks to kick off its Disney Plus service in grand style. Outside of The Mandalorian, I didn’t see anything else within their original series lineup that could come even remotely close to what The Mandalorian could become for the service, and if it holds, this new series will have Star Wars greatness written all over it.
