5. Nancy Drew (The CW)
As with most CW shows, we’re not quite sure what the criteria are for a show to be canceled by this network.
Nancy Drew, which was touted by the network as being on the same par as Riverdale, has been doing poorly in the 18-49 bracket, which also happens to be the series’ targeted bracket.
How bad?
Try 0.20.
That’s beyond bad. it’s terrible, especially for a series that was given near top billing as Nancy Drew did. On any other network, Nancy Drew would have long met its fate, but on a network starved for shows with any viewers, there is an all likelihood that Nancy Drew will get renewed, even when it doesn’t deserve it.
That’s why the show made it on this list.
The show overall is simply a cookie-cutter of the other teen/young adult dramas that populate The CW, and, to be frank, I’m quite surprised it has a 0.20 rating. Case in point: Nancy Drew needed to be shown the cancellation door yesterday, but if The CW grows some courage and finally start cutting dead weight, Nancy Drew should be the first to go bye-bye.
