3. Bob’s Burgers (FOX)

Bob’s Burgers has been sort of an oddity within FOX’s Animation Domination Sunday block.

It can never seem to keep a solid time slot and isn’t heavily promoted as Family Guy and The Simpsons. Despite this, the animated comedy has managed to keep just enough fresh ratings to keep getting renewed. However, there is a tingling feeling that Bob’s Burgers may not be as lucky this time around.

With the quick renewal of Bless the Harts, one really has to wonder if the schedule masters at FOX are finally going to give in and pull the plug on the venerable Bob’s Burgers. Of course, we wouldn’t want the show to end as it is stronger both in writing and comedy than Family Guy and The Simpsons; but just like ABC’s Fresh Off the Boat, FOX really hasn’t treated Bob’s Burgers as a cornerstone of its animation block, and that may lead to the network finally pulling the plug on old Bob.

This certainly wouldn’t be the end for the series, as it has enough episodes in its catalog that it will be strong in syndication. Maybe that is where Bob’s ultimate fate lay, or it may get renewed for another season.

As the season churns, though, or money is quietly being placed on cancellation.
