1. Bluff City Law

On one hand, you have to give kudos to NBC for taking a chance on a law show that isn’t set in one of the glamour cities.

Bluff City Law is set in Memphis, Tennessee, and it follows a law firm that handles civil rights cases within the city. In some respects, Bluff City Law goes down the same road as previous NBC shows such as L.A. Law and Outlaw, but unlike those shows, Bluff City Law may get only one season to right the civil wrongs of Memphis.

The drama has a 38% “fresh” rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and the outdated nature of Bluff City Law has been a real turnoff for viewers. It’s the lowest-rated drama on the network, and one of the lowest-rated shows overall on NBC’s primetime lineup.

So, you do the math.

Like Perfect Harmony, NBC is willing to let Bluff City Law finish out its season, but after that, it’s curtains for the Memphis law firm. With ratings not improving, there is little chance that Bluff City Law will see a second season. So let us enjoy this show while we can because it’s almost a certainty that this show will be no-more in 2020.
