Sex/Life: Sarah Shahi will headline upcoming Netflix series

Sarah Shahi boards the latest Netflix adaptation.

The Person of Interest actress has booked her next starring role! Deadline reports Sarah Shahi is set to headline the upcoming Netflix series, Sex/Life.

Netflix has teased the new dramedy will be based on the memoir by BB Easton called 44 Chapters About 4 Men, Sex/Life. The eight-episode series focuses on a woman named Billie Connelly who finds herself torn between her husband and her past. According to the description, the new series will “take a steamy new look at female identity”.

Sarah Shahi plays Billie who is desperate to cling to her past. She has two kids and a perfectly fine marriage in the suburbs, but finds herself yearning for her single days a decade prior. However, trying to rediscover those memories puts her relationship and everything she has in jeopardy.

She’s well-known for her long resume of television shows. She’s previously starred in Person of InterestLifeReverie, and Fairly Legal. Most recently, she’s had recurring roles on HeartstringsThe Rookie, and City on a Hill.

Stacy Rukeyser is set to write and showrun the adaptation as well as serving as an executive producer. J. Miles Dale and Larry Robbins will also serve as executive producers on the series.
