Turner & Hooch has found its female leads!

The Disney+ reboot of Turner & Hooch is making good progress assembling its cast. According to Deadline, the upcoming series has cast Lyndsy Fonseca and Carra Patterson in leading roles opposite from Josh Peck.

Based on the popular movie with Tom Hanks, this version will star Josh Peck as US Marshall Scott Turner who winds up finding the sidekick he didn’t know he needed: a large dog named Hooch.

Fonseca is set to play Scott’s sister, Laura, who seems to be the one who brings her brother his new dog. Laura is a dog lover and her description reveals she takes in quite a few special-needs pups. She’s incredibly close with her family (which includes Scott, her mother, and her seven-year-old Matthew), but is struggling to get over her father’s death.

Meanwhile, Patterson will play Scott’s new partner Jessica. According to her character description, she has a great sense of humor, which occasionally gets her into trouble, but is both brave and a quick-thinker in the field. Apparently, she’ll also be the polar opposite of Scott but the two have a deep respect for each other and she’s also fond of Hooch tagging along. Jessica is also happily married to Grady, and it sounds like Turner & Hooch could be setting these two up as your next brotp.
