5. GLOW

GLOW is Netflix‘s critically-acclaimed comedy-drama that stars Alison Brie in the leading role of Ruth Wilder, an actress struggling to find work in Los Angeles during the 1980s. Just when Ruth thinks all of her career dreams are over, she discovers the magical world of women’s wrestling.

She begins to work alongside several other Hollywood misfits at a start-up wrestling group called Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling, aka GLOW. The series also stars Betty Gilpin, Sydelle Noel, Britney Young, Marc Maron, Britt Baron, Kate Nash and more.
