Hulu’s hilarious comedy, Shrill will return for a third season

Annie will be back for a third season of Shrill on Hulu! The streaming service has renewed the hilarious comedy for another season and we can’t wait!

Hulu’s hit comedy series starring Aidy Bryant, Shrill, will officially be back for a third season, reports Variety. According to the article, we’ll be getting eight more episodes of the fantastic show. Season 2 was also eight episodes, while Season 1 was only six.

I’m certainly not complaining. More Annie is always the right answer, in my opinion. Plus, the second season ended with Annie dumping her loser of a boyfriend, Ryan, and I’m super excited to see how things progress for her in the next season of the series.

One thing I appreciate about Shrill is the focus is on a self-proclaimed fat woman who isn’t necessarily interested in changing her weight so much as she is in changing her life. Season 2 focused even less on her body and more on her relationships and career.

It’s nice to see fat and plus-sized women being treated like actual human beings rather than just a number on the scale.

Right now, it isn’t clear when the third season of the show will debut. Given the current state of the entertainment industry and world at large, I wouldn’t expect Season 3 to arrive on Hulu until next year at the earliest.

We might have a while to wait, but in the meantime, we can always rewatch the first two seasons on Hulu! At least now we don’t have to fret about whether or not it will be renewed. It looks like Hulu is happy with Shrill‘s performance.
