Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist is about a young professional named Zoey, played by Jane Levy. While underoing an MRI, there is an earthquake, and Zoey develops a strange new ability. All around her, people begin breaking into song, and she can’t get it to stop.
Zoey has to figure out this new normal while navigating her boss Joan, played by Lauren Graham. Also starring as Zoey’s best work friend Alex is Skylar Astin from the Pitch Perfect Trilogy. We already know he is going to bust out a few good tunes. With everyone spontaneously bursting into song, this show gives us all of the broadway vibes.

1. Smash
Although this show was short-lived, it packed a punch. Smash starred American Idol alum, Katherine McPhee as Karen Cartwright, and Megan Hilty as Ivy Lyn. In this musical drama, Karen and Ivy are fighting for the role of Marilyn Monroe in a new Broadway musical written by Julia Houston, played by Debra Messing, and Tom Levitt, played by Christian Borle.
What makes this show stand above the rest is its originality and its musical repertoire. The original songs in this show are of Broadway caliber. By watching Smash, you will be sure to find a new tune to belt out in the middle of your kitchen or to sing in your shower.
