By Monita Mohan
Oh no! Annalise has been arrested and we finally find out who killed Asher Millstone on the latest episode of How to Get Away with Murder.
In the latest episode of How to Get Away with Murder, Annalise Keating is arrested in Mexico and charged by the FBI for forging documents and faking her identity. Despite being released, she’s under house arrest with an ankle monitor.
Her fear of persecution and returning to jail is giving Annalise nightmares – she dreams of being in a prison jumpsuit, desperately trying to save a crying baby. But she can’t reach the child as someone has hold of her leg and she can’t get away from them. What else does her nightmare signify in episode 11 of How to Get Away with Murder?
Annalise Returns
While Annalise is at home, her mother, Ophelia Harkness (Cicely Tyson), is staying with her. Ophelia has dementia, which means she often forgets her whereabouts, but when she’s lucid, Ophelia has a sharp and critical mind that you cannot escape. Annalise and her mother have always had a tumultuous relationship. We realize that guilt and anger run through both of them during the course of this How to Get Away with Murder episode.
Unable to sit still and wait for the FBI to come after her, Annalise and Tegan file for a motion to release all future charges filed against Annalise. They discover, to their horror, that the FBI has everything on Annalise, and the only way that’s possible is if the ‘kids,’ as Frank and Bonnie refer to the Keating Five, ratted Annalise out.
Annalise doesn’t play her cards yet; she calls the kids over to eke out the truth and figures out that they’re bald-facedly lying to her about their part in this. It won’t be long before Connor, Michaela, and Oliver face Annalise’s wrath.
As if the kids turning on her isn’t bad enough, Tegan discovers that one of the charges levied against Annalise is the arson attack on her childhood home that killed her abusive uncle, Clyde. We learned, several seasons ago, that Ophelia had burnt her house down once she found out that Clyde was assaulting her daughter. But how can Annalise clear her name without implicating her mother? How did the FBI even get this information?
