7. Homecoming
Julia Roberts stars in the first season of this tense thriller that quickly makes the list of best Amazon Prime Originals. Heidi Bergman is a caseworker at a facility called Homecoming. As the name suggests, it is a company that aids soldiers in the transition from war to civilian life.
Heidi leaves Homecoming to try and start a normal life herself, but then she is contacted by the Department of Defenses to learn why she left. Slowly, Heidi begins to realize there is more to Homecoming than meets the eye. It is based on a popular podcast of the same name.
The second season will star Janelle Monáe, with some characters returning from season one.

6. Carnival Row
Carnival Row is sort of Amazon’s answer to Game of Thrones. It is a neo-noir fantasy series with a high production value starring Cara Delevingne and Orlando Bloom. Bloom plays a detective who uncovers a grisly murder on Carnival Row, home to many members of the fae community who are discriminated against by the humans.
There are multiple mythical creatures in the series and a lot of different plotlines to follow. It’s a fun show and easy to get sucked into. It has been renewed for a second season.
