Good Omens Lockdown: Amazon’s fan-favorites reunite for a mini-episode
By Mads Lennon
To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Neil Gaiman’s Good Omens novel, the show’s lead reunite for a mini-episode as a quarantine special.
The 30th anniversary of Neil Gaiman’s novel Good Omens happens to coincide with our current quarantine predicament on May 30.
In honor of the special date, actors Michael Sheen and David Tennant — who starred in the Amazon Prime miniseries adaptation of the book, are reuniting for a special episode.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the episode is written by Gaiman himself. Sheen and Tennant both returned to voice their characters Aziraphale and Crowley. Even though the special date isn’t until the end of the month, fans don’t have to wait that long to tune in to the special! It is available right now and we’ve attached it at the bottom of this article.
“The three-minute audio clip follows Aziraphale and Crowley as they check in with each other in lockdown,” says the article.

Crowley is struggling to maintain his sanity while stuck indoors. Even spreading “discontent” to the general public has lost its appeal. Elsewhere, Aziraphale is enjoying spending time inside his book store with nothing to bother him, allowing him to enjoy his books and baking.
Eagle-eyed fans might pick up a few stray easter eggs in the special, included by series director David McKinnon, who returned to direct Lockdown.
“This is our present to all of you. It’s to make people happy because too many of us are sad,” Gaimon tweeted.
Despite its short length, fans appeared overjoyed by the news and have been tweeting about it all day. Good Omens is one of many shows to film new episodes in light of the current pandemic. Happy Endings is also planning a new episode and Parks and Recreation released one last week.
