Love, Victor: Hulu releases full-length trailer for the sequel series
Hulu has released a full-length trailer for Love, Victor!
Fans of Love, Simon wait no longer! Hulu has finally given us a full-length trailer for their upcoming sequel series, Love, Victor! When Disney+ announced that they would no longer be taking on the series due to mature themes, a lot of fans were disappointed.
Thankfully, Hulu really pulled through by picking up the series. This isn’t the first time that a show was moved from Disney+ to Hulu; High Fidelity, which premiered in February on Hulu was originally meant to be in the Disney+ catalog.
Love, Victor follows our protagonist as he navigates high school.
Victor (Michael Cimino, Annabelle Comes Home) is new to Creekwood High School; a place where he believes he’ll be able to start over and finally be himself — or at least, figure out who he is.
As can be expected in high school, this can get extremely overwhelming which is why he reaches out, in the form of letters, to Simon. Love, Victor looks like it’ll be an emotional rollercoaster, especially as he struggles with his sexual orientation whiles have parents that don’t seem to accept this as well as Simon’s did.
The Hollywood Reporter shares Greg Berlanti is not involved in the production, however, Love Simon screenwriters Elizabeth Berger and Isaac Aptaker serve as showrunners. After checking out the trailer, this seems obvious due to the new series having all of the Love, Simon vibes.
Simon and Bram from the original film will both be taking part in Love, Victor. Nick Robinson (Simon) will be narrating the series, while Keiynon Lonsdale will be returning to his role as Bram. Ana Ortiz (Ugly Betty), James Martinez (One Day at a Time), Isabella Ferreira (Orange is the New Black) and Sophia Bush (One Tree Hill) will also be starring in Hulu’s newest series.
